Frederick Coleman - Charity Director, Founder.

Frederick's journey from a challenging upbringing in Liberty City to becoming a prominent figure in the political landscape there and later in the City of Los Santos was made possible through resiliency. Growing up as a minority in Bohan, Frederick faced relentless racism and bullying, exacerbated by the prevalence of gangs in his neighborhood. Despite these challenges, Frederick's parents; who had endured their own hardships with miscarriages before his birth, selflessly invested in his future - setting money aside for him instead of improving their quality of life.

Determined to break free from the unrelenting cycle, Frederick focused all of his efforts in to his passion for software development. His academia through Vespucci University funded by his parent's money, his marriage to Winona, and the birth of their daughter Diana marked transformative moments in his life. However, tragedy struck with the loss of both his parents and, later, Winona during her fourth tour in Afghanistan. Frederick was propelled into a state of grief; which led him to put his career on hold entirely to prioritize family, getting by with the inheritance.

The challenges did not end there; 9/11 unfolded, further reshaping Frederick's perspective and inspiring him to contribute to the city's healing. As he navigated through personal loss, he emerged stronger; eventually making significant strides in the political landscapes of both Liberty City, and eventually the City of Los Santos. Through his political efforts and the Coleman Fund, aptly named in honor of his parents, he started to champion the cause of minorities. Through his experience, Frederick's story became one of overcoming adversity, finding purpose through his loss; and making an effort towards a more inclusive future in honor of his parents.

Faith Labelle - Trustee, Founder.

In the unfortunate beginning of Faith Labelle's life, marked by her biological parent's opioid addiction and neglect, she faced a challenging childhood development as an autistic individual. Born in Davis, Faith found rebirth after adjusting into her newfound guardians' care at the age of five. Placed under the care of her aunt, Aaliyah Labelle, Faith experienced a shift to Liberty City, where she began to form bonds with what Faith herself would consider her "real family".

Despite bullying and rejection, Faith excelled academically, revealing her intellectual prowess in subjects like the Arts. As Faith navigated the complexity of her identity and battled physical challenges; her determined spirit carried her through adolescence regardless. Specifically, Faith dealt with hardships adapting to her environment as an autistic African-American woman, defining her adolescence as "alienating".

Through adulthood, Faith managed to eventually come to terms with who she wanted to be, leading to her realization of her passion in aesthetic-based work, such as interior design and art. As she balanced her responsibilities as a provider for her family, Faith pursued her dreams, eventually achieving success in the fashion industry.

As a model, Faith's journey was littered with ethical dilemmas, consisting of witnessing blatant racism ensuing in a professional setting, which often was viewed as "acceptable". Due to the negative experiences, Faith developed the brand 'Diversify' to platform those that may be viewed indifferently in the fashion industry. Through the challenge, Faith forged ahead, building Diversify into a platform that challenged the norms of the fashion industry and spoke to a more inclusive future within it.

Solana Beltran - Community Youth Leader.

Solana – also known as Icydoll, was born and raised on Jamestown Street in the Rancho neighbourhood and faced significant challenges in her life from an early age following her father’s incarceration when she was just five years old. She was raised by her mother, Agathe, who simultaneously cared for her own dementia-stricken and opioid-addicted mother, while juggling her job at the Rancho pharmacy. By the time she was thirteen, she was roped in to the Rancho Trece Gang, which ran prevalent at the time - following her father’s footsteps.

Sad to have undergone an intense initiation and the harsh realities of gang life, Solana rose through the ranks as a means of survival, but behind the tough appearance she developed? She ultimately recognized the dangers of the criminal lifestyle and decided to use her strengths differently. She turned to Facebrowser where she’d made a name for herself in local circles and explored the world of fashion, initially selling second-hand designer outfits, her niche. With each day that went by, her passion grew – and so did her business, allowing her to break free and form Icydoll Enterprises.

Today, she is a leader in the fashion world, owning the successful brand Glasier, and holding many high-level executive roles in various companies. She is a uniquely experienced talented leader, of which talent she now offers to The Coleman Fund.

Overcoming a tough life in South Central and recognising that better is possible is why Solana was a perfect candidate to become The Coleman Fund’s Community Youth Leader, she now stands to tell her story of hope to tomorrow’s leaders, those living a lifestyle much similar to her past; helping them stray away from the gang life and fight for a better life for themselves. She is a testament to the fact that with resilience, we can overcome inequal opportunity.
